Branded Marketing Insight Report

BRANDED recently commissioned independent research to explore the following 3 current client-agency themes:

  1. How will marketing spend evolve over the next 12 months?
  2. What do brands and retailers expect from their agencies?
  3. Remodelling client-agency relationships for a post-pandemic economy

Over 500 leading retailers and brands were surveyed as part of the research and, despite the ongoing challenges posed by COVID, the outlook is on the whole positive. 45% of brands and retailers surveyed expected their spending levels across marketing to return to pre-Covid levels and 35% expected their spend to increase.

In terms of spending priorities for marketing, digital topped the list, with 72% of companies ranking it as their number one investment. In-store ranked second with 47% and packaging ranked third at 29%.
